The number of homes in escrow has gone up 9 out of the last 10 weeks here in South Orange County. That’s up 40% since the beginning of the year and at a level 48% higher than this time last year. Approximately 65% of homes in escrow are “distressed” (Short Sales 43% & foreclosures 22%.
